Kitten is a high-end Japanese izakaya and cocktail bar in central Manchester that blends bold brutalist influences with delicate Far Eastern aesthetics. I was tasked with creating an identity that mirrors the venue’s unique character—drawing inspiration from its towering ceilings, bamboo walls, and back-lit archways—to craft a visual language that balances strength and refinement. I further extended this identity into a suite of printed materials, using contrasting paper stocks to evoke the tactile textures of the space, ensuring Kitten stands out as a premium destination where design meets culture.
